So, I'm back home in the Burbs of the Pacific NW. Man oh man has it been a long year. Started off kind of rocky with dumping my boyfriend right before I moved into a duplex with him and a friend of mine. Learned the valuable lesson about why not to date people you plan on living with in the near future. Things got better once he moved out in December. We found a kick ass roommate to replace him. Still, I ended up having to deal with our fourth roommate who was 32 and felt like he needed to treat us as though we were his children. I'm so glad that I have finally moved out of that asylum. The negativity and drama going on in that house was horrible and didn't help with school work or stress levels.
It ended up working out, I ended up with a 4.0 and I'm pretty dang proud of that. I worked my butt off this semester and I'm glad that I did. Advanced photography most definitely kicked my ass this semester, but it was well worth it. I feel as though I have found a real passion in my life and been able to learn how to grow with my work and learn how to explain it to others.
All in all the school year was an experience never to be repeated. I learned a lot and grew a lot. I made and lost friends in the process and I learned more about myself than I thought I could in such a short amount of time.
I am now looking forward to summer and having my parents out of the house for three weeks. I hope to be working on my photography and learning more about art in general. Hopefully I will be able to continue to grow and learn about myself, art and other people.
